Natural Vanilla Flavorwith Other Natural Flavors

Natural vanilla flavor is a flavoring substance derived from vanilla beans. It is created by extracting the aromatic compounds from cured vanilla beans, often using alcohol and water. The term 'with other natural flavors' indicates that additional natural flavoring substances, derived from natural sources, may be included to enhance or modify the overall taste profile.

Manufacturers add natural vanilla flavor to impart a sweet, rich, and aromatic taste to a wide range of food products. It is commonly found in baked goods like bread and waffles, as well as in dairy products, desserts, and beverages, to enhance their overall flavor appeal.

Natural vanilla flavor is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA for use in food. Regulatory bodies like JECFA have evaluated flavorings, but specific evaluations for complex natural flavor blends are not always detailed. At typical consumption levels, it is not associated with adverse health effects. There are no widespread controversies regarding its use.
