Orange Juice From Concentrate With Other Natural Flavors

This ingredient is made from orange juice that has had most of its water removed. The concentrated juice is then reconstituted by adding water back. 'Other natural flavors' are flavorings derived from natural sources like fruits, vegetables, or spices, used to enhance or modify the taste.

Manufacturers add this ingredient to provide a citrus flavor and aroma in beverages, particularly sodas and flavored drinks. It can also be used in baked goods, candies, and other food products where a natural orange taste is desired.

Orange juice from concentrate is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA. The 'other natural flavors' component is also regulated by the FDA. These ingredients are not typically associated with adverse health effects when consumed in moderate amounts as part of a balanced diet. International bodies like JECFA have evaluated flavorings and juice concentrates, generally finding them safe for consumption.
