Water And Concord Grape Juice Concentrate

This ingredient is a combination of water and concentrated Concord grape juice. Concord grapes are a variety of grape known for their distinctively sweet and tart flavor, commonly grown in North America. The juice is concentrated by removing water, intensifying its flavor and color.

Manufacturers use this ingredient primarily to provide flavor, sweetness, and color in food products. It is frequently found in jams, jellies, fruit spreads, and beverages like iced tea and juice drinks, where it contributes a characteristic grape taste.

Water is essential for life and has no established upper intake level. Concord grape juice concentrate is a source of natural sugars and antioxidants. Regulatory bodies like the FDA consider it safe for consumption as part of food. International organizations such as EFSA have evaluated grape juice and its components, generally recognizing its safety in typical dietary amounts. Evidence suggests antioxidants in grape juice may have some health benefits, though more research is ongoing.
