Banana Juice From Concentrate

Banana juice from concentrate is made from bananas that have been processed to remove most of their water content, creating a concentrated liquid. This concentrate is then reconstituted with water to create a juice. It is used to provide a banana flavor and aroma.

Manufacturers add banana juice from concentrate to beverages and other food products to impart a natural banana flavor and aroma. It is commonly found in fruit juices, nectars, fruit drinks, and alcoholic beverages.

Banana juice from concentrate is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as a food ingredient. It is a source of natural sugars and provides some vitamins and minerals found in bananas. International bodies like JECFA have evaluated similar fruit-derived ingredients. No significant health concerns are associated with its consumption at typical levels found in food.
