Coconut Milk Beverage Organic Coconut Milk

Coconut milk beverage is a liquid product made from the grated white flesh of mature coconuts, blended with water, and then strained. It is a thinner, less fatty version of traditional coconut milk, often formulated for drinking or as a dairy alternative.

Manufacturers use coconut milk beverage to provide a creamy texture and a mild, sweet flavor in plant-based products. It is commonly found in dairy-free drinks, smoothies, frozen desserts, and as an ingredient in vegan meals and breakfast items.

Coconut milk beverage is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) as a food ingredient. It contains saturated fats, and the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend limiting saturated fat intake to less than 10% of daily calories. As a whole food product, it is not typically evaluated by JECFA or EFSA as a food additive, and there are no notable controversies regarding its safety at typical intake levels.
