Evaporated Organic Cane Juice

Evaporated organic cane juice is a sweetener made from the juice of organically grown sugarcane. The juice is heated to evaporate most of its water content, leaving behind sugar crystals. It is often sold as a less processed alternative to refined white sugar.

Manufacturers add evaporated organic cane juice primarily as a sweetener. It provides a similar sweetness to regular sugar and can be used in a wide variety of foods, including baked goods, beverages, and confectionery.

Evaporated organic cane juice is chemically similar to sucrose (table sugar). The FDA considers it to be Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) when used as a food ingredient. Like other added sugars, excessive consumption can contribute to excess calorie intake. The WHO has advised limiting intake of free sugars, including those from evaporated organic cane juice, to reduce the risk of unhealthy weight gain and dental cavities.
