Finest Green Tea Leaves Brewed In Pure Water

Finest Green Tea Leaves Brewed In Pure Water is a beverage made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, which are minimally processed to retain their natural flavor and nutrients. The leaves are steeped in purified water to extract their essence, creating a light, refreshing drink.

This ingredient is primarily used to create ready-to-drink iced teas and bottled tea beverages. It provides a natural tea flavor and can be offered in sweetened or unsweetened varieties. Manufacturers use it as the base for a wide range of flavored teas.

Green tea is widely consumed and has been the subject of numerous studies. It contains antioxidants, such as catechins, which are associated with various health benefits in peer-reviewed reviews. The FDA does not specifically regulate brewed green tea as a food additive. Regulatory bodies like EFSA have evaluated tea extracts, and JECFA has evaluated caffeine, a component of tea. While generally recognized as safe for consumption, excessive intake of highly concentrated green tea extracts could potentially lead to adverse effects due to caffeine content.
