Freeze Dried Strawberry Powder

Freeze-dried strawberry powder is made from fresh strawberries that have been frozen and then had the water removed through a process called sublimation. This process preserves the flavor, color, and nutrients of the original fruit. The resulting powder is a concentrated form of strawberry.

Manufacturers use freeze-dried strawberry powder to add a natural strawberry flavor and color to a variety of foods. It is commonly found in baked goods, dairy products, candies, and snack bars. Its concentrated form allows for intense flavor without adding significant moisture.

Freeze-dried strawberry powder is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as a food ingredient. It is a source of vitamin C and antioxidants, similar to fresh strawberries. International bodies like JECFA have evaluated similar fruit-based ingredients. No specific health concerns are associated with its typical consumption in food products.
