Jalapeno Peppers Sliced Jalapenos

Jalapeño peppers are a medium-sized chili pepper variety of the species Capsicum annuum. They are named after the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, where they are traditionally grown and harvested. Sliced jalapeños are typically fresh or pickled peppers, often found in jars or cans.

Sliced jalapeños are used to add a spicy flavor and texture to a variety of dishes. They are commonly found in Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine, such as in tacos, enchiladas, nachos, and quesadillas. They can also be used as a topping for pizzas, sandwiches, and salads.

Jalapeño peppers are a source of vitamins A and C, and contain capsaicin, the compound responsible for their heat. Capsaicin has been studied for potential health benefits, though research is ongoing. The FDA considers jalapeños to be safe for consumption. There are no specific upper intake limits set by regulatory bodies for jalapeño consumption.
