Natural Lemon Flavor With Other Natural Flavors

This ingredient is a flavoring substance derived from natural sources, such as citrus fruits (like lemons) and other plants. It is created through physical processes, like distillation or extraction, or by enzymatic or microbial processes. The final product is a complex mixture that provides a specific taste and aroma.

Manufacturers add this ingredient to enhance or impart a specific flavor profile, most commonly a citrus or fruity taste, to a wide range of food products. It is frequently found in beverages, baked goods, candies, and dairy products.

In the U.S., flavoring substances like this are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as intended. International bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated many flavoring substances. Regulatory agencies consider these ingredients safe at the levels typically found in foods. There are no widespread health concerns associated with the typical consumption of natural flavors.
