Organic Blueberry Juice From Concentrate

Organic blueberry juice from concentrate is made from blueberries that are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The juice is extracted from the berries, then the water is removed to create a concentrated form. This concentrate is later reconstituted with water to make the final juice product.

Manufacturers use organic blueberry juice from concentrate to add natural blueberry flavor and color to foods and beverages. It is often found in drinks, yogurts, and fruit snacks where a distinct fruit taste is desired.

Organic blueberry juice from concentrate is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as a food ingredient. Blueberries and their juice are known for containing antioxidants, such as anthocyanins, which are linked to various health benefits in scientific literature. JECFA and EFSA have evaluated blueberry juice and its components. Evidence regarding specific health outcomes is ongoing and typically relates to the consumption of whole fruits or juices in the context of a balanced diet.
