Peach Juice From Concentrate

Peach juice from concentrate is made from peaches that have been processed to remove most of the water, creating a concentrated liquid. This concentrate is then rehydrated with water to produce peach juice. It is a common way to transport and store fruit juice.

Peach juice from concentrate is primarily used to provide peach flavor and sweetness in beverages like fruit drinks, nectars, and sparkling juices. It can also be found in frozen desserts and ice cream, contributing to both flavor and moisture.

Peach juice from concentrate is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA for use in food. It is a source of natural sugars and some vitamins, but like other fruit juices, it should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. International bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated fruit juices and their components, generally finding them safe at typical consumption levels. No significant health controversies are associated with its use at normal dietary levels.
