Butter Toffee Peanuts

Butter toffee peanuts are peanuts coated in a hard candy shell made from sugar, butter, and often other flavorings like vanilla or salt. The peanuts are typically roasted before being coated and then cooled to create a crunchy candy shell.

This ingredient is used to add a sweet, buttery flavor and a crunchy texture to snack mixes, candies, and baked goods. Manufacturers use it as a confectionary element, often found in trail mixes, popcorn confections, and as a standalone sweet snack.

Butter toffee peanuts are a confection and are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as a food ingredient. They are primarily a source of calories from sugar and fat. Regulatory bodies like JECFA have evaluated similar sugar and fat components. While generally consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet, high intake of sugary and fatty snacks can contribute to calorie surplus.
