Health notes

Yacon syrup is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA for use as a sweetener. It contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS), a type of prebiotic fiber that may support gut health. Some research suggests FOS can help improve blood sugar control and aid weight management, though more studies are needed. JECFA has evaluated yacon syrup and did not set a numeric limit (ADI not specified).
