Red And Green Bell Pepper Powder

Red and green bell pepper powder is made from dried and ground bell peppers. These peppers are cultivated for their mild flavor and vibrant colors. The powder retains the essence of fresh bell peppers, offering a concentrated taste and aroma.

Manufacturers use red and green bell pepper powder primarily as a flavoring agent and for its natural color. It adds a mild, sweet pepper taste and a reddish-orange or green hue to foods. It is commonly found in savory snacks like chips, pretzels, and snack mixes, as well as in frozen appetizers.

Red and green bell pepper powder is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as a food ingredient. It is a source of vitamins and antioxidants found naturally in bell peppers. International bodies like JECFA have evaluated food ingredients, and EFSA also assesses food additives. No significant health concerns are associated with its consumption at typical dietary levels.
