100% Juice From Apple

This is juice made solely from apples, with no water or sweeteners added. It is produced by pressing apples to extract their juice, which is then often concentrated by removing water and later reconstituted. The juice is typically pasteurized to ensure safety and shelf stability.

Manufacturers use 100% apple juice primarily as a sweetener and flavor base in beverages, particularly in fruit drinks and blends. It is also used in baked goods, sauces, and marinades to add sweetness and a fruity apple taste.

100% apple juice is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as intended. It contains natural sugars and is a source of some vitamins and minerals. While it provides some nutritional benefits, the high sugar content can be a concern if consumed in large quantities, similar to other fruit juices. Regulatory bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated similar fruit juices.
