Breading Set In Organic Expeller Pressed Canola Oil

This ingredient is a breading that has been fried in organic expeller-pressed canola oil. Canola oil is extracted from the seeds of the canola plant. Expeller pressing is a mechanical method of extracting oil without the use of chemical solvents.

Manufacturers use this ingredient to create a crispy coating on foods like chicken nuggets and other frozen appetizers. The oil helps to achieve a desirable texture and flavor during the cooking process.

Canola oil is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA. It is a common cooking oil and is not typically associated with significant health concerns when consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Regulatory bodies like EFSA have evaluated vegetable oils, but specific evaluations of canola oil in this breading context are not widely publicized.
