Premier Protein Shake Protein Blend

This is a blend of proteins commonly used in nutritional supplements and foods. It typically includes milk-based proteins like whey and casein, and sometimes plant-based proteins. The blend is processed to isolate and concentrate the protein content.

Manufacturers add protein blends to increase the protein content of foods and beverages. They are frequently found in protein bars, shakes, and powders designed for sports nutrition or meal replacement. The blend provides a concentrated source of amino acids.

Protein blends are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as intended. Regulatory bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated various protein sources. Evidence suggests adequate protein intake is important for muscle maintenance and growth. Consuming very high amounts of protein may pose risks for individuals with pre-existing kidney conditions.
