Sunflower Oil Creamer

Sunflower oil creamer is a non-dairy product made from sunflower oil, often combined with corn syrup solids, stabilizers, and emulsifiers. It is designed to mimic the texture and appearance of dairy-based creamers. The sunflower oil is typically refined and processed to create a stable, white liquid or powder.

Manufacturers add sunflower oil creamer to provide a creamy texture and rich mouthfeel in food products without using dairy. It is commonly found in coffee creamers, baked goods like cookies and biscuits, and in nutritional supplements such as meal replacement or protein drinks. Its fat content contributes to flavor and texture.

Sunflower oil creamer ingredients are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA for their intended use. The primary component, sunflower oil, is a source of unsaturated fats, including linoleic acid. While generally considered healthy in moderation as part of a balanced diet, excessive intake of any fat can contribute to calorie surplus. International bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated various food additives used in creamers, but specific evaluations for 'sunflower oil creamer' as a whole are not typically found.
