Expeller Pressed Natural Oil Blend

This is a blend of vegetable oils processed using an expeller press. This mechanical method extracts oil from seeds or fruits without using chemical solvents, often resulting in a higher quality oil. Common oils used include palm, soybean, canola, and sunflower.

Manufacturers use this blend as a fat source in baked goods and snacks, providing moisture and texture. It can also act as an emulsifier, helping to combine oil and water-based ingredients. It's frequently found in cakes, cookies, popcorn, and peanut-based snacks.

Expeller-pressed oils are generally considered safe for consumption. The FDA lists many common vegetable oils as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS). While specific blends are not individually evaluated, the individual components are widely used and studied. Concerns about specific oils, like palm oil, relate to environmental impact and saturated fat content, rather than direct health risks from the expeller-pressing process itself.
