Palm Olein Soybean

Palm olein soybean is a blend of palm olein and soybean oil. Palm olein is a liquid fraction of palm oil, and soybean oil is derived from soybeans. Both are vegetable oils commonly used in food production.

This oil blend is used as a cooking oil and as an ingredient in processed foods. Manufacturers add it for its texture, mouthfeel, and ability to extend shelf life. It is often found in snacks, baked goods, and convenience foods.

Palm olein soybean is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used as intended. Like other fats and oils, it provides calories and essential fatty acids. Regulatory bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated fats and oils, but specific evaluations of this blend are not widely publicized. Concerns about saturated fat content in palm oil are sometimes raised, but typical intake from blended oils in processed foods is usually moderate.
