Sulfur Dioxide Added

In the US, sulfites are approved as food additives and must be declared on the label if present at 10 parts per million or more. Some individuals, particularly those with asthma, may be sensitive to sulfites and experience allergic-type reactions. Regulatory bodies like JECFA and EFSA have evaluated sulfites and established guidelines for their use.
