Seasoned Chicken Breast With Rib Meat

This ingredient is chicken meat, specifically the breast and rib portions, that has been treated with seasonings. The seasonings can include salt, spices, and other flavor enhancers to improve its taste and texture. It is often pre-cooked or partially cooked for convenience in further food preparation.

Manufacturers add seasoned chicken breast with rib meat to provide a savory protein component and enhance flavor in a variety of prepared foods. It is commonly found in ready-to-eat meals, deli salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and other convenience food items where a quick and flavorful chicken addition is desired.

Seasoned chicken breast with rib meat is a source of protein and other nutrients naturally found in chicken. The added seasonings, particularly sodium, can contribute to the overall sodium content of a food product. Regulatory bodies like the FDA oversee food ingredients to ensure safety. JECFA and EFSA have evaluated various food additives that might be used in the seasoning blends, but the chicken meat itself is a common foodstuff.
